Main Responsibilities
- Conduct an Assessment of Current M&E Tools: Carry out a detailed evaluation of FIDA-Uganda’s existing M&E frameworks, focusing on their capacity to capture gender-sensitive data. This assessment will include a review of data collection tools, reporting formats, and the overall integration of gender-responsive indicators within the M&E system.
- Co-develop and Integrate Gender-Sensitive Indicators: Collaborate with program teams to identify and develop new gender-sensitive indicators that are tailored to FIDA-Uganda’s focus on women’s rights. This will involve revising current M&E tools and frameworks to ensure they measure gender-specific outcomes effectively, such as tracking the impact of legal aid services on women and marginalized communities.
- Engage Stakeholders in the Review Process: Organize consultations and workshops with key stakeholders (staff, beneficiaries, and partners) to gather feedback on the current M&E systems and their gender responsiveness. Incorporate this feedback into the revised M&E frameworks to ensure that the tools and methods reflect the needs and priorities of women and marginalized groups.
- Capacity Building for Gender-Responsive M&E: Provide training for FIDA-Uganda staff on the revised M&E frameworks, emphasizing the importance of gender-sensitive data collection and analysis. This includes workshops on how to use new tools effectively, how to disaggregate data by gender, and how to ensure the systems accurately reflect the lived experiences of women and children.
- Develop Training Modules on Gender-Responsive M&E: Design comprehensive training materials and resources on gender-responsive M&E, focusing on best practices for incorporating gender equality into monitoring and evaluation processes
- Gender-Responsive M&E Tool Use: Provide hands-on training in using gender-responsive M&E tools, ensuring staff are confident in applying these tools to assess and track gender equality outcomes in program implementation.
