GIVE TODAY TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE
In this unprecedented global pandemic, women are on the front-line of the COVID-19 response. They make up 70% of the health and social service workforce as first responders, health professionals, community volunteers or caregivers for their families. Several consequences of the COVID-19 crisis are hitting women the hardest.
We are hearing reports of higher rates of domestic violence during this quarantine period. With our local partners, Crossroads is ensuring vital supports for vulnerable women and girls who are seeing a higher risk of gender-based violence, decrease of access to sexual and reproductive health and a slow access to justice.
COVID-19 also threatens food security for thousands of families in Africa as markets and other businesses are closing or on lock down. As a consequence, it is even more difficult for women to sell their produce at market, which endangers their livelihoods and the well being of their families.
We all live under the same sky.
Please help us, help people in Africa bracing for COVID-19 by making your gift today.
