MY VOICE, MY HEALTH: SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH SERVICES FOR TEENS IN SENEGAL
In Senegal, pregnancy and childbirth are the leading causes of death for adolescent girls, child and forced marriage is prevalent, and almost 80% of girls have expressed the need for safe sexual and reproductive health services. To increase awareness of sexual and reproductive health rights, Crossroads launched My Voice, My Health, also known as DAMCAM, in collaboration with local partners and supported by Global Affairs Canada.

BY YOUNG PEOPLE, FOR YOUNG PEOPLE, WITH YOUNG PEOPLE
Through this program, children and adolescents learn about their rights; they receive information and tools to make informed decisions and advocate for themselves and their peers. The 5-year project that will directly impact 30,000 teens and is expected to reach 75,000 indirect beneficiaries.
Come and meet a program advisor, a local partner, a student leader and a midwife who have all been closely involved in the project. They will discuss the results of the program so far, the impact the pandemic has had on the local communities, and their hopes for the future. At the end of the virtual event, you will be able to ask them some of your questions.
