Join us on Thursday, October 24 for an evening of great food, silent auction, and thought-provoking conversation with best-selling author Lawrence Hill.
All proceeds will support Crossroads International’s efforts to eliminate poverty, advance equality and ensure the rights of women and girls are fulfilled.
Lawrence Hill is an award-winning author of The Illegal and The Book of Negroes, Lawrence is Member of the Order of Canada, an honorary patron with Crossroads International and has volunteered overseas with the organization in Niger, Mali, Cameroon and eSwatini.
On October 24 Lawrence will share how his volunteer experience has influenced his writing and on why there has never been a greater need for Canadians to act as global citizens.
Chair of BC Housing and Crossroader Cassie Doyle (India 1976) will emcee the evening.
Cassie is the former Consul General to Northern California, and former Federal and BC Deputy Minister.
