International Development Week
This year as we mark the 30th annual International Development Week, we are sharing the work we do every day to realize the Sustainable Development Goals addressing poverty, inequality, climate change as well as environmental degradation, peace and justice.
Back in 2015, Crossroads answered the UN call to action to accelerate progress by focusing on 17 Sustainable Development Goals. We are leveraging the talents and competences of individuals, organizations and businesses, while working with local governments and institutions to build an inclusive, sustainable and resilient future where no one is left behind.
Canadian volunteers and other global citizens are engaged, at home and abroad, to reach this objective by building the capacity of several institutions and communities. Volunteers as agents of change are an important vehicle for a long-lasting sustainable development. We are proud to work with them in Ghana, eSwatini, Togo, Senegal, Tanzania and Burkina Faso.
We committed to help reach the UN 17 indivisible goals which include 169 targets and more than 230 indicators by 2030. We have 10 more years to accomplish our goals by focusing on people, prosperity, planet, partnership and peace.
Discover our new campaign Working For The Goals which shows how we hope to keep our promise to women, girls, men and boys around the world.
