Join us on October 10th for the 8th Annual Day of the Girl Breakfast and help empower girls to protect themselves from threats of violence, stand up for their human rights, become leaders in their community, and transform themselves from victims of violence into voices for change.
We are so pleased for this year’s Breakfast to feature Rebeca Gyumi. Rebeca won a landmark case against child marriage in Tanzania when she challenged the Tanzania Marriage Act that allowed girls as young as 14 to marry. In 2018 she was awarded the UN Human Rights Prize in recognition of her work to empower girls in Tanzania. She is a lawyer and the Founder & Executive Director of the Msichana Initiative, a Tanzania organization empowering girls through education. Register below!
