Let’s celebrate women’s empowerment!

#IWD2024 #IAmACrossroader

On International Women’s Day 2024, themed “Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress”, Crossroads International reaffirms its commitment to advancing the education and economic empowerment of women and girls in sub-Saharan Africa. This year’s theme underscores the critical need for increased investment in women’s education, health, and economic opportunities as a catalyst for global progress.

Empowering Women through Education

At Crossroads International, we believe that education is a fundamental right and a cornerstone of women’s empowerment. Our educational initiatives aim to provide women and girls with the knowledge and skills necessary to break the cycle of poverty and take control of their future. By facilitiating access to quality education, we are not only investing in individual women but in healthier, more prosperous communities and a stronger, more equitable world.

Economic Empowerment: A Path to Independence

Economic empowerment is key to achieving gender equality. Crossroads International’s programs focus on equipping women with the tools they need to succeed in the workforce, start their own businesses, and gain financial independence. Through vocational training, entrepreneurship workshops, and access to microfinance, we help women to unlock their potential and contribute to the economic development of their communities.

The Inspirational Journey of Our WOMEN Volunteers

Our women volunteers play a crucial role in driving our mission forward. Their dedication and passion for gender equality and women’s rights inspire us all. In the spirit of International Women’s Day, watch our video “Why I Volunteer,” featuring the powerful stories of Nanasofoa Pabi, one of our volunteers. Her journey highlights the impact of investing in women and the transformative power of volunteerism in accelerating progress towards gender equality.
