About the Event
The “Bid for Empowerment” silent auction is back for its third year! Following the success and positive feedback from our supporters, this exciting virtual event returns to offer a unique opportunity to bid on a variety of items while supporting a vital cause. The auction will run from August 23rd at 12:00 PM EST to September 13th at 9:00 PM EST.
Empower Women and Girls in Sub-Saharan Africa
Through this silent auction, Crossroads will raise funds to support women and girls in sub-Saharan Africa. These funds will be utilized to enhance existing partner programs, provide essential services, and respond to urgent needs exacerbated by climate change and droughts.

Bid on some beautiful, unique items!
Participants will have the chance to bid on a diverse array of items, including handcrafted goods from local partners in Africa, jewelry, gym subscriptions, and other unique and valuable items.
Previous years
In 2022, the event successfully raised over $3,000 with more than 30 participants. The money raised this year will be directed towards:
- Supporting local partner organizations in delivering essential services
- Providing outreach and counseling services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual trafficking
- Strengthening food systems and livelihoods for women in rural and marginalized communities
