International Women’s Day 2025: Strength in Every Story

This year’s International Women’s Day theme, “Strength in Every Story”, highlights the resilience, determination, and impact of women worldwide. At Crossroads International, we witness this strength every day in the women we support—farmers adapting to climate change, entrepreneurs building sustainable businesses, and advocates fighting for human rights.

As we celebrate this day, we recognize the impact of our programs that empower women and girls, ensuring they have the resources, knowledge, and opportunities to thrive.

Defending the Rights of Elderly Women Accused of Witchcraft

Northern, Northeast & Savannah Regions of Ghana

Impact So Far:

  • Over 1,000 women received legal literacy training
  • Medical screenings and National Health Insurance access provided
  • Strengthened advocacy to end witchcraft accusations

Goals:

  • Provide access to justice, healthcare, and psychosocial support
  • Educate women on their rights and gender-based violence
  • Engage local authorities and NGOs to create long-term change

Watch our volunteers celebrate International Women’s Day
