Looking for a host family in Montreal

As part of its South-North programs, Crossroads International will welcome, this autumn, a volunteer from Ghana for about 45 days (from the 25th of October to December 6 2019).

Crossroads international is looking for a host family in Montreal (the volunteer will be doing her internship in the Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce area). A host family can be a person living alone or with a partner, with or without children.

The selection criteria for host families are as follows:

  • Interest in intercultural exchanges;
  • Adequate living space (closed guest room);
  • Willingness to integrate the volunteer into the family’s social life, especially by doing activities with the volunteer on weekends.

We are ideally looking for an English-speaking host family or with an advanced level in English.

The host family must provide meals and lodging for the South-North volunteer. For this purpose, the family receives from Crossroads International $20 per day. The volunteer will also receive an allowance to cover her personal expenses.
