Advancing the rights of women and girls

Crossroads International is creating opportunities for women and girls. In the world’s poorest countries and in countries where there is great wealth disparity, women and girls are the most vulnerable. Girls are more likely than boys to be denied access to education and training and face multiple barriers to enter the job market. Discriminatory traditional practices also contribute to the prevalence of sexual abuse and gender-based violence. The need for action is urgent. That’s why we have focused programs to prevent gender-based violence; increase access to justice for women and girls especially survivors; and support women’s and girls’ leadership in the social, political and economic spaces within their communities and countries.
