National Volunteer Week

Let’s celebrate our volunteers, their talents and contribution!

#NVW2021 #IAmACrossroader

If the past year as taught us one thing, it is the importance of us coming together to bring about change at home and abroad. This National Volunteer Week 2021 focuses on The Value of One, The Power of Many so we can look at those whose words and actions have supported communities facing challenges, have shown solidarity, and stood up with the most vulnerable and for Gender Equality. Every day, our volunteers from around the world, committee members, board members and honorary patrons are sharing their expertise and talents to create a more just and equitable society where no one is left behind by working with partners online or on the ground.

In 2019-2020, 100 volunteers including overseas volunteers, board and committee members in 7 countries worked together with 34 partners to support more than 34,000 people.

DISCOVER OUR ONLINE EXHIBITION

This year especially, we are celebrating our volunteers’ talent and asked some of our skilled volunteer photographers to select a photo that illustrates the theme The Value of One, The Power of Many. We are excited to share this exhibition with you every day of National Volunteer Week on our Story Wall so stay tuned and visit our website regularly for some of the most beautiful shots of Tanzania, Ghana, Eswatini or Senegal.

SHARE A POWERFUL ARTWORK FROM YOUR MANDATE

It’s your turn! You can join this week of celebration by uploading your own photo or artwork to the Story wall with a few words telling us more about your experience and how this image embodies this year’s theme. You will then get your Crossroader badge to share on social media using #IAmACrossroader.
